Condolence: So sorry to see this memorial of Jon's passing last year. We never connected often usually on our mutual birthdays, but when we did it was always a nice trip down memory lane. Condolence: Hi Jon and Family, my son Michael (from Pickering Karate Do) went to your dad's memorial and he brought home a card with the poem "I Am A Tree". What a heartfelt message of love and life. Did you know the words "I am" can be used as a mantra in meditation or singing to connect with The Universal Life Force Enery (also know as God). Maybe your family could plant a tree in his honour. A tree of life. Be comforted in the wonderful memories you shared. Love Rhonda Glennie🌲🌳🙏

Condolence: I had the pleasure of meeting JP years ago when I played baseball and he was the umpire.... always a nice guy. More recently I saw him a few times at the hospital.... the last time about a month ago, I brought him a warm blanket and he said that he thought he was in love :) he always loved to joke. I enjoyed listening to his stories. He will truly be missed. The world lost a great man. My deepest condolences to all of his family.

Condolence: My sister and I met Jon at one of our pubs way back in the seventies. It turned out he didn't live far from our apartment. He found out we loved lilacs and he had a beautiful lilac bush in his backyard. Every season Jon delivered a garbage bag full of lilacs. He never missed a season. He always thought of us. Such a kind and funny man. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

Condolence: JP was a second father to many of us local musicians. He gave us access to his Brighton court basement allowing us to hone our skills while annoying his neighbors. He then did so much to help us get gigs when we were starting out & continued to manage a few of my early bands. JP was a selfless man & always a source of encouragement & support!! His great sense of humor & funny stories will be missed! RIP JP

Condolence: So sorry to hear about JP. I worked at Manulife with Jon for a number of years. A number of us went to watch Jon Jr. play in the band and you could tell how proud of him he was. He umpired my daughter's ball games and in jest always gave me a hard time about their conduct. Jon I'll miss you just showing up in my office; helping you do your paper work and listening play by play of the game you umpired the night before. He will be missed by all the people who knew him.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with JP for 6 years at London Life. He was a strong supporter of mine and was a great team builder and participant. He was a fine person and had a unique talent for connecting with people. He loved to play hockey and was really partial to the sport of baseball. JP had a big heart and was rightly proud of his accomplishments with the Kiwanas. Always proud of his son and grandchildren he most often spoke of his love for them. He will be remembered as a fine insurance advisor and a very social guy with a large network of friends. Remembered and missed by all. Great to have shared life with you JP.
