TOEWS, Olga (nee: Kosowan) – Peacefully with family at her side on Saturday August 31, 2019 at Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 85. Olga, wife of the late Sidney Toews. Beloved mother of Janice Brenis (nee: Olynyk) and proud baba of Mike Brenis. Olga is survived by one sister and 4 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Nicholas and Verna Kosowan and 6 brothers and sisters. Olga was a Master Baker of Ukrainian Speciality Breads and was a life time member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and choir in Canada. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday September 6th from 6-8pm. Panachyda at 7:30pm. A funeral service on Saturday September 7th at 10am at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Bloor & Simcoe). Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. John the Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
