Condolence: I'm so sorry that Aunt Agnes has passed away. She was the last of an era! I have many happy memories of her visits to our house on 'The Point'. She was such fun and looked so beautiful - always done up like a stick of chewing gum! Mom, dad and all of us loved it when she, and the rest of you, came home on holidays. It was a happy time, filled with constant laughter and reminiscing. I will always remember her very fondly. I am so glad I got to visit her, a couple of years ago. Aunt Agnes spent most of her life separated from us by distance, but she was always a part of our lives. She visited Newfoundland many times and we celebrated because of her presence. She was fun, energetic, bright and interested in everything. We used to love her stories from her young days in Calvert especially when she told us about the family and how spoiled our father was. He would be listening and of course he used to say "Agnes, that's enough of that old stuff" Her spirit remains strong in our family.
