HOUNSELL – Arthur Maxwell
With heartfelt sadness, the family of Arthur Maxwell Hounsell, announce his passing on
August 22nd, at 78 years of age.
Art is survived by his adoring wife of over 55 years, Dian (nee Pilcher). Devoted father to daughters Deborah (Lyndsay) and Michelle (Nicholas). Beloved grandfather to Luke, Reid, Cate, and Evan.
Art was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland on September 2nd, 1943, to Cyril and Lila (nee Barnes) Hounsell. At an early age, Arthur and his family moved to Toronto where he would spend the entirety of his school years and career. Arthur spent his comprehensive career working in banking and finance, starting as a bank teller at TD Bank and working his way up through hard work and dedication.
Art loved his family more than anything else. He was a proud Poppa who loved nothing more than to spend time with his grandchildren, witnessing all their accomplishments, attending their sporting events, and passing on his passion of golf and his love for the Montreal Canadians. He loved to travel with Dian, often going on scenic driving trips in his cherished sports car. His dry sense of humor and quick wit will be sadly missed.
Arthur will be in our hearts forever.
