HUBBARD, David Joseph “POPA SMURF” – General Motors Retiree 21 Years-Service –
Suddenly on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his home in Oshawa at the age of 81. Beloved father of Paul Hubbard. Very best uncle of Greg Hubbard (Vanessa). Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Hilda Hubbard and siblings Connie Rawn, Richard Hubbard and Peter Hubbard. David will be sadly missed by Sandra Rawn, Suzanne Hubbard, his 18 nieces and nephews and their families, sisters-in-law Doris Hubbard and Carol Hubbard, cousins Carolyn Murphy and Mike Alain, his long-time friends Don and Lillian Ryan and all his dear friends.
The family extends their thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
David was very active in the GM retirement community, as well as a huge supporter of the “Ride for Dad” supporting prostate cancer research. Donations made in his memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
