KERR, Doreen “Betty”

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Doreen Elizabeth (Betty) Kerr; on January 12, 2024, peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, ON at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her son John Kerr (2005), her daughter Lillian Cuddy (1966) and her brother Hugh McGill (1987).
Cherished mother of Robert Kerr, Russell Kerr, Elizabeth Harold (Kerr), Beatrice Sandfoehr (Cuddy); and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Betty was born in St. John, NB but lived the majority of her life in Ontario close to her family. She was a dedicated single mother who raised 5 children on her own. She enjoyed travelling, playing euchre, shuffleboard, darts and bingo with friends at the Oshawa Seniors Centre.

She will be lovingly remembered by all as the kind, special, fun-loving lady that she was.

Visitation is Saturday January 20, 2024 from 2- 3 pm; Followed by a service at 3:00 p.m.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or favourite charity.
