Peacefully passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Strathaven Long Term Care, Bowmanville, the day before her 92nd birthday. Predeceased by her husband Gordon. Loving mother of Sandra Crawford (Doug), Cindy Robichaud, Gordie Greer (Tina), and Tracy John (James Balfour). Cherished grandmother of Dougie, Jamie, Colin, Deanna, Dallas, Rylee, Macaulay (Mesha), and Julian-Ethan and great-grandmother of Zoe, Skylar, Adam, and Nick. Great-great grandmother of Meia-Lee, Isaac, and Everleigh. Dear sister of Beryl Brooks (Charles) and Faye White (Gornall). Predeceased by her parents Frank and Olga Tower. Doris will be sadly missed by all her family and friends, especially Anne and Bill & Karen.
Doris was kind, compassionate and hardworking. She loved to listen to music, sing, garden, and loved watching sports with Gordon!
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 4-5 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa) with a Celebration of Life to follow in the Chapel at 5 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or MS Society.
