Born to Hazel and Lawrence Burgess in Oshawa on Monday January 23, 1961
Douglas married at the age of 23 to Monique and had 5 children who loved him deeply.
He had a long career as a factory worker at WEGU Canada making rubber parts for automobiles.
A strong exceptional man, and a great and loving father/grandfather.
He is survived by his children Eleanor, Katrina (Jordan), Damien (Faye), Robin (Shawn), Sulinda (Josh); his stepchildren Raistlin and Krysania (Andrew); his wife Monique; his loving partner of 9 years, Maggie; and Douglas also leaves behind 20 grandchildren.
Doug will always be remembered for being the life at gatherings and for always being supportive with his family and friends.
He will be missed more then words can express and will forever be in our hearts and memories.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m.
