Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Doreen for 61 years. Loving father of Scott, Steve (Wanda), and Paula (Mike). Cherished Boppa of Bennet, Hanna (Thomas), Jake (Luis), Molly (Nick), and Scot. Dear brother of Sheila (the late Malcolm) and David (Sandy). Predeceased by his parents William and Hannah Bennet.
George retired from General Motors after over 44 years of service.
He was a member and actively involved with Standardbred Racing Association.
