Called home by his Lord and Saviour on July 4, 2017 at the age of 93. Loving brother of Theresa. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose Freker and by his siblings Frank, Rita, Margaret, and Hank. Loving friend of Mary, Carla and Giacomo. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and friends. Gerry was an avid card player and golfer. He always had a kind word for everyone he met. A special thank you to the staff in Lavender Lane, at Hillsdale Estates, for their kindness and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, Oshawa. Visitation will be held one hour before the mass. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Canadian Cancer Society
