Born April 13, 1943 in Oshawa. Passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Family was important to Joan as she loved doing crafts with her daughter, Jackie, and being an active part of her life. Joan also accompanied her young daughter to baton lessons and competitions all over North America, as well as her figure skating and music lessons.
Joan shared her love of music with her daughter. Joan played accordion, clarinet, sax and organ, and was even offered a spot on the Lawrence Welk Show with her accordion duet partner, George.
For many years, Joan was a very successful AVON rep, making President's Club and being ranked 3rd in sales in Canada.
Joan loved all animals deeply (a love she shared with Jackie), and her house was always full of pets which she cherished.
Later in life, she enjoyed spending her time playing bingo (particularly when she won more money than Ron at the 420 Wing!), making crafts at her retirement home, and watching her tv shows. Joan was a social butterfly and could make friends everywhere she went. She had a strong faith and was quite spiritual. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
