Passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 83, after a lengthy illness with Parkinson’s. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Knipe) for over 59 years. Loving father of Mark, Shelley Bond and Sheri (Paul) Roberts. Cherished grandfather of Tamara Bond. Dear brother of the late Rosalie, Annetta and Wynd Mill. John will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He worked at General Motors for 36 years. He was known for always being there to help people and was a longtime member of Northminster United Church. John enjoyed windsurfing, travelling, hunting, and spending time with his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Northminster United Church on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson’s Society. Online condolences www.armstrongfh.ca
