Jack passed away on Friday, Oct. 20 with his children by his side. He was a well-loved man who always had a beautiful smile for everyone he met. Jack loved nothing more than being with his family. He fought a long battle against pulmonary fibrosis, to get every moment he could with family and friends. Jack worked for GM Oshawa for 32 years, having retired in April of 1987. He was a very social man, who loved to have his siblings over each weekend, in their younger years, to play cards and laugh.

Jack was predeceased by his parents Ena Vickers and Albert Martin. He was one of ten children and was predeceased by Mae, Albert (Bert), Nell, Eric, Joyce, Nancy, and Gary. Jack and his siblings were extremely close and he’ll be lovingly missed by Elizabeth (Liz) and Shirley. Jack had three siblings in law and will be missed by Carol and Doug and their children Ian (Shelley) and Craig, and was predeceased by Bill Jordan and Joe Jordan. He’ll be missed by Joe’s children Bill, Jody, and Jay.

Predeceased by his beautiful and loving wife of fifty years, Diane Lea Jordan October 23, 1942 - May 10, 2009. Jack will be sadly missed and remembered by his four children Ken James Martin (Brenda), Kathy Lea VanderZwet (Pete), John Martin, and Richard Dwayne Martin. Jack was a wonderful grandfather to Peter (Amber), John (Sabrina), Clayton and Alana, Devin, Danny, Emily, and April and a loving great grandfather to Haley, Peter, Aria, and Evelyn. He’ll also be missed by a great many nieces and nephews who he adored throughout their lives.
