Grandma Joyce to my girls Andrea and Allison, and also to my Granddaughter, Clara . A better Grandma they couldn't have had! And to me, the best Mother-in-law anybody could have ever had and because of that, you were always 'Mom' to me and even though we have been apart for many years now, I could never imagine calling you anything else. You taught me how to drive....even borrowed your orange Chevette to get my driver's licence! And always doing groceries together.... and then when the girls came along , I don't know what I would have done without you .... built in babysitter ...who never minded the moniker! Always there to answer a panicky question ... and at the cottage always willing to look after the girls, so Dad and Gord and I could go fishing! I envy the girls for having such a wonderful Grandmother, someone nearby , someone the girls could grow up with ( mine were so far away , across the ocean and only an occasional visitor) and someone who was never short of all the love the girls could want. I am so thankful Clara got to know her Great Grandma. You leave the girls with big holes in their hearts but also with so many good memories of the best Grandma there ever was! Rest in peace, Mom

I hadn’t seen Mrs Barclay since she moved from Oshawa but hearing this news is like losing a chunk of my childhood. So very sorry that she is gone and I am sure her family have so many wonderful memories of her life to get them through this journey of grief . My condolences to all of you..I really miss my visits with Joyce and can still hear her laugh especially if my dog was along for the visit....rest peacefully...
