LAROCQUE, Joyce Helen (nee: Gibbs), Retired Long-time Dispatcher of City-Wide Taxi – Peacefully on Friday May 7, 2021 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in her 91st year. Joyce, beloved wife of the late William Campbell. Much loved mother of Suzanne LaRocque (Colin Murray), Theresa Sudsbury and Russell LaRocque. Loving grandmother of Diane Carder, Danielle Stephenson (Aaron), Beverly Sudsbury, Janet Sudsbury-Hyland, John Sudsbury, Tracy LaRocque, Darla LaRocque and Paul LaRocque. Joyce was a beloved great grandmother of Brooke, Brayden and Brody Carder and was thrilled to be able to spend precious time with them and dearly missed meeting her other great grandchildren. Dear sister of Richard ‘Dick’ Gibbs (Marion), Marie Lakin (Ron ‘Huck’), John Gibbs (Donna) and Doug Gibbs (Carole). Joyce is predeceased by her parents Helen (nee: O’Reilly) and Walter Gibbs. Joyce enjoyed and very much appreciated the loving support and care over the years from her daughter Suzanne along with the loving support from Diane, Danielle, Aaron and Colin. Thanks to the nursing staff at the PRHC hospital for the wonderful care. Joyce spent many years as the phone voice heard by so many clients of City-Wide Taxi. She will be missed by all her bingo friends at the Red Barn Bingo. She sure loved her bingo! As per Joyce’s wishes, cremation with private family interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery with her mother will be taking place.
