Obituary for Kateryna "Katherine" Guzylak
GUZYLAK, Kateryna
Passed away peacefully June 4, 2023 at the age of 94, at Lakeland Long Term Care in Perry Sound, with her daughter Lesia and son-in-law Kevin at her side.
Beloved wife of the late John Guzylak. Loving mother of Lesia (Kevin) and Athena. Proud grandmother of her 2 grandchildren, Adrian and Christopher. Beloved sister of Anna and aunt of Danell and the late Christine.
She was very proud of the time she served at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital. Mom's passion was being a seamstress, doing cross stitching, knitting and looking after her garden and flowers. She was an active member of the Oshawa Ukrainian Catholic Community.
A special 'Thank you' to the HomeCare staff and friends at St. Demetrius, Etobicoke and the nursing and staff at Lakeland L.T.C.
Visitation will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa, (905) 433-4711, on Wednesday, June 14th from 12pm until 2pm, with the Funeral Service starting at 2pm. Following the service, interment to take place at St. Wolodymyr & St. Olha Cemetery 1112 Prestonvale Road in Courtice.
