DAMIANI, Maria Josephine (nee Scanga) – Peacefully on Sunday March 14, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Eugenio ‘Mario’ Damiani (2010). Much loved mother of Claude, Sandra (Mike), and Peter (Sandy). Proud Nonna of Alexander (Alexandra), and Mikaela (Jake). Dear sister of Nicola, Angelo, Antoinetta, Maria, Joseph (Pino), Lilliana and Franco (predeceased). She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends. Maria cherished family first, endlessly cooking and caring. Tending her garden and flowers brought her immense joy. Maria was an exceptional seamstress who worked tirelessly at Franklin’s Women’s Clothing in Oshawa, and later at Chrysler Canada. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please register for visitation on Wednesday March 17th from 11am to 1pm.
