Jackson, Ronald Gordon
Passed away on February 17 th , 2024 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, surrounded by
his family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Ron in his 65 th year,
leaves behind his cherished wife Joanne and their adored son Steven (Jessica
Parker). Dear brother of Jim (Sharon), Cheryl (Sumner), Debbie, Freeman Jr.
(Ruth) and predeceased by his siblings Carl, Ricky & Cathy. Dear son of the late
Freda & Freeman. Ron will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his many
nieces, nephews and extended family.
Ron was a dedicated fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Green Bay Packers.
He enjoyed collecting antique Coca-Cola memorabilia. Ron was an avid fisherman
and enjoyed fishing with his son Steven, family and friends. Ron was a proud
retiree of Scotiabank, having enjoyed over 30 years with them in various
positions.
Thank you to the entire team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and
assistance throughout the difficult past three weeks since Ron’s diagnosis. Special
thanks to the Emergency, Dialysis, Oncology and Palliative Teams.
Please join with the family for a Celebration of Ron’s Life, at a Memorial Service
to be held on Saturday February 24 th at 2pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124
King Street East, Oshawa. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday
from 1pm to 2pm. Cremation has taken place.
