Peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce, her granddaughter Tamara, son-in-law Nelson, and granddaughter Crystal. Loving mom of Holly Nickerson, Leeta Vinson (Paul), Karen Kennett (Alan), Dan Brown (Donna), and Linda Brown-Bond (Mike). Cherished grandma of 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Brenda Bailey (Jack), Faye McCabe (Gary), and Judy Kraan (Keith).
Ruth was devoted to her family and she loved to knit anything for them.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Kids. Online condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfh.ca
