Passed away on Monday February 12, 2018, at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Arturo. Beloved mother of Maria (Werner) Schwiering, Fred (Anne), and Tony. Loving nonna of Andrew (Stephanie), Peter, Ashley, and Taylor. Vanda will also be dearly missed by her family and friends in Italy and Canada. A special “Thank-You” to the staff at Fairview Lodge (Yorkshire Place) and Ajax-Pickering Hospital (West wing 3rd floor) for the excellent care they provided. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa for Visitation on Thursday February 15th from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday February 16th at 11am. Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
