Obituary for Harry Aldworth

ALDWORTH, Wilfred "Harry" John – Peacefully on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay at the age of 80. Harry is survived by daughter Mary-Lou Shepperdson, daughter in law Cathy Crawford-Aldsworth, sisters Betty Arkwright, Irene Gleeson and Roseanne Boricic, and grandchildren Jeffery & Jennifer Aldworth, Daniel Shepperdson, and JJ (John) Aldsworth. Harry is predeceased by his parents Wilfred & Irene Aldsworth, his wife Frances Aldworth, his son John William Aldsworth and his sister Mary Allin.
Harry worked over 30 years at Gerdau Steel (Lasco Steel). He loved to race stock cars in his younger years on the Dirty Apron Track. He could fix anything that was broken and build what ever needed building. An ‘All Round Man’. He grew up in the country loving the land and cared for his mother for over 20 years. Harry was the ‘GO TO’ Man for anyone who needed help with anything, putting others needs ahead of his own. You could always rely on Harry. He loved his cats, dogs and feeding the wild life. Harry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Steel Workers Union, 115 Albert Street, Oshawa. Saturday November 20th visitation from 12 noon to 2pm. Service at 2pm. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby.
