Condolences

Condolence From: Dorothy McFarlane
Condolence: My dear friend Dorothy, what a privilege it was to know you, even though it was only for a few years. I'll never forget you. You were like a mother to me, and I'm so blessed to have had you in my life. We started out as neighbours and ended up as very close friends. Your door was always open and it felt so good just to be able to come and talk with you about anything. Even despite your failing health you always put others' needs ahead of your own. I've never known someone as generous and loving as you were, and I'm so priviledged to have known you. Thank you ever so much from the bottom of my heart for your overwhelming generosity not just to me, but also to Lisa, Michelle, Sharon, Joan, Glen and all the other people who loved you so much. I will always love you, Dorothy.

Condolence From: Diane Jones
Condolence: To my dear Aunt Dorothy, and you will always be known as Aunt Dorothy. I have known you for 36 years and have never known anyone as kind and generous as you. You opened your door and your heart to me many years ago then to Derick, because that was you. You gave so much to your Church, to your family, to your friends and to many that you did not even know, just so they would not go without, because that was you. When things were tough, you still took from yourself and gave to others, because that was you. I rarely heard you say a harsh word about anyone, no matter what they did, you always turned it around and saw the good in them, because that was you. Things were not going well for you recently, but you still gave and gave, because that was you. I remember the times when you would cuddle my children and others in the family and sing so sweetly to them when they were tiny, they would stop crying and look up at you, and smile as you sounded like an Angel, and now that is what you are. You will be missed by many but welcomed to your new home by many more, where you always looked forward to being. I say goodbye to you with a heavy heart but do know now that you will be the one who is taken care of.
