Russo, Giuseppe – Passed away after a courageous battle at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday November 13, 2014 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Maria for close to 50 years. Loving father of Salvatore (Margaret) and Antonio (Ornella). Cherished Nonno of Sebastian, Amanda, Giuseppe and Marco. Survived by his brother Domenic (Teresa) and sister Antonietta (Pietro) and many nieces, nephews. Also survived by in-laws Michele (late Concetta), Concetta (late Pasquale), Marcello (Giustina), and Yvonne (Ken). Predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Anna Russo and in-laws Antonio and Fiorentina Tosti. Also predeceased by siblings Maria (Dominic), Consilia, and Nicolo (Gina) and survived by brother in law Luigi. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Tuesday November 18, 2014 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the People Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 11 am. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated, and may be made by visiting www.armstrongfuneralhome.net.
