Jimmy Paterson student

I met Jimmy in 1964. We were both enrolled at the adult training school on Jones Ave in Toronto to upgrade our working skills. Jimmy was handsome, dressed well had a nice smile and a twinkle in his eye. I had a big crush. We were both 18 years old and he liked me too so we began dating. We graduated together and were looking for new work. I remember i got my Interview first and was very nervous. Jimmy met me beforehand and he helped me iron my skirt and top to wear for my interview. Happily i got hired for the office of a downtown Toronto firm. I was very grateful for Jimmy's kind help. I started to work the next week. We became a couple and found a nice flat in the beaches area of Toronto. The following year 1965 we married at Toronto City Hall. Then the same year we were blessed with a baby daughter Kimberly Ann Patterson delivered on St.. Patricks Day at Toronto General Hospital on University Ave. She was 6lbs 6oz and resembled her good looking fair father.JImmy. His parents Jean and Jim were very excited becoming grandparents. They lived closeby on Norway Avenue. Our marriage was strained and in 1970 we divorced.Diane had Custody of their young daughter. After separating we loss touch and it was a difficult time for us. I am happy to learn that Jimmy found love again and had his second family. My condolences to his family as he was taken too soon. Thankyou for your care. Bye and bye his Maker caught his eye. Rest in Peace Jimmy. You were loved and will be remembered by many. Diane Paterson 1965-1970
