Obituary for Anita Jean Clark (Roter)

Anita Jean Clark (Roter)
Anita Jean Roter CLARK, 66, of Little Britain, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on December 6, 2016. She was born August 30, 1950 to Donald Roter and Helen Povinsky Roter. She earned a nursing diploma from the Oshawa General Hospital School of Nursing, where she was awarded the Adelaide McLaughlin prize, and where she later worked as a surgical nurse. After raising two children, she owned and operated a popular clothing boutique in Port Perry until the time of her retirement. Anita is survived by her loving husband, Ron Clark; son, Ryan Clark (Julia); daughter, Erin Clark (Mike); and grandson, Keith Wheeler. She was the cherished sister of Bill (Joanne) and Donna; sister-in-law of Don (Vicki); loving aunt to Lindsey, Michael, Drew, Matthew, Sam, Eric, and Haley; great-aunt to baby Noah; devoted niece to her aunt Jean; and beloved cousin of Denise (John). Anita will be dearly missed by her sister-cohort and close-knit circle of friends, who knew her as a funny, loving, and caring individual. She was a devoted friend, described as kind and amazing; she will be remembered for her beautiful smiling face. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Trillium Trails (53 Snow Ridge Crt, Oshawa) on Saturday January 14th from 2-6 pm. The family would like to express a very heartfelt thank-you to the nursing staff at Lakeridge Hospital. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre in Oshawa http://hearthplace.org or Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes http://womensresources.ca.
