Life Story for Charles Edward "Ed" Bracey

Charles Edward "Ed"  Bracey
BRACEY, Charles “Ed” – WW II Veteran, RCAF Squadron 402 Winnipeg, Retired; Customs & Excise, Manager/Treasurer Federal Employees Credit Union (Oshawa). Born June 23, 1917. Peacefully at Hillsdale Estates on Sunday October 14, 2007 in his 91st year. Ed, beloved husband for 62 years of Phil Bracey (nee Stanton). Loving father of Don Bracey (Simone), Pamela Dickson (Dave) and the late David Bracey (1964). Loving Papa (grandpa) of Nicole (Gerry), Taite, Brenly, Quinlan and Connor, and great-grandpa of Eric. Dear brother of Lily, Ben (Florence) and Eva, and is predeceased by sisters; Frances, Muriel and Dorothy and brother Jack. A sincere thanks to Hillsdale Estates staff on Lavender Lane (3rd Floor) for the exceptional support and care given to Ed. Ed will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loved family and many dear friends. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Wednesday October 17, from 7-9pm. Funeral Service in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday October 18th at 1pm. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by Ed’s family.
