Phinn, Eleanor “Jean”
It is with profound sadness that we say a final farewell to Eleanor “Jean” Phinn who passed away suddenly in her home on October 29, 2016 at 86 years of age.
Jean will be missed and always loved by her son Dave (Dawna), grandkids Michael (Liz), Daryl, Daniel and Nicole. She was an extremely proud great-grandma to Ava and Aiden. Jean was predeceased last year by Jack, loving husband of 60 years and daughter Debra.
Born into a farming family in Stratford Ontario, Jean loved the outdoors and enjoyed caring for her yard and many flower gardens right up into her 85th year. She and Jack loved to travel and she often spoke of the many wonderful trips they had enjoyed over the years. She had many special long-term friendships which helped to fulfill her life and she was always grateful for those relationships. She loved you all.
We will honour Jean’s wishes and forego formal funeral services. Mom always loved children and some of her fondest memories were of her time as a nursery school teacher. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
