Condolence: Such a shame. To list the family but omit two of its members. A slap in the face for them.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Tennisco family during this time of hardship.

As mentioned by Mike, Elroy had a passion for fishing and he was responsible for the salmon bug which I still have today. Going out fishing in that 19' aluminum with the cuddy was my first experience fishing Lake O and he took Brad and I out in some less than desirable conditions. I was on the verge of chumming the lake when he yelled out fish on and handed the rod to me to reel in the fish. The simple act of just handing the rod to me was better than any Gravol pill as the excitement of bringing in my first lake caught salmon made me forget about everything else.

This speaks volumes about the man he was. He was caring, smart, a talented artist, humorous and most of all a handyman who thought outside the box. I'm sure Irma had a significant influence on Elroy, but these traits have been passed on to his family.

I still remember how he used to launch that 19' aluminum boat with the Chrysler K-car at the old Bowmanville launch. Although they claim that the car is not capable of towing something that heavy, Elroy did this so many times without replacing the clutch once.

Tough days ahead for sure but always remember the happy memories which have shaped many lives. A little bit of Elroy is in most of us.

Condolence: Elroy was like a second father to me...as a young teenager he got me interested in hunting and fishing and to this day I do both. He was like a mentor to me and I loved going out with him and Dave and listening to his stories...he will be sadly missed by all...my deepest condolences to the family.
