WILSON, Gloria Irene (nee Wakelin)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, with her daughters by her side, on Thursday December 15, 2016 at the age of 90 years.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Crawford Wilson (1978). She will live on in the loving hearts of her children Barbara Wilson of Oshawa, Ralph and Margaret of Port Perry, Al and Lois of Pontypool, Floyd and Debbie of Oshawa, Bonnie and Doug Gray of Castleton, and Donna and Robert Skitch of Oshawa. Cherished grandmother to Denise (Richard Dao), Alisha (Todd Lawson), Vicki (Colin Rowell), Ashley Skitch, Gregory Skitch (Tonya) and Steven Wilson (Danielle). Great grandmother to Brooke, Whitney and Reid. Survived by her sisters Gwen Veale and Lois (Lloyd Thomas). Predeceased by her parents John and Ruby Wakelin, her son Roger (1987), her sister Verdun (late Murray McCallum), her brothers Bill Wakelin (late Marion) and Ray Wakelin. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours.
Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa) with visitation to take place on Tuesday December 20th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 21st at 1pm. Interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery.
