CORY, Gordon Roy (GM retiree – 15 years of service)
Passed away on June 10, 2016 in his 76th year, surrounded by the love of his family.
Son of the late Roy Cory and Hazel Cory(nee Rahme). Beloved husband of Beverley Cory (nee Gatchell) of Hampton. Cherished father to Judith Duffy(Phil) and Beth Leveille(Rolly) and the late Jamie Cory(2013). Proud Grampa to Laura and Caitlin Duffy and Luke and Kyle Leveille. Loving brother to Don(Evelyn) , Marion(Ralph) and the late June(late Dan). Nephew to his special Aunt Mary Rahme(Lloyd). Gordon will be dearly missed by all of his extended family and friends.
Gordon worked as an auto mechanic all over Durham Region for 25 years, finally settling at GM. Gordon loved his old trucks and cars and knew them inside and out. Gordon’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of the Supportive Health Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, as well as Drs. Devost and DeLuna, for all of their care and compassion.
Friends may call for visitation at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King Street East, Oshawa) on Tuesday June 14, from 2-4 and 7-9pm, with a funeral service to be held on Wednesday, June 15 at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Hampton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Supportive Care Unit of Lakeridge Health Oshawa or the Humane Society of Durham Region.
