Condolence From: Neil & Barb Kingdon
Condolence: My good friend and troop mate. May you rest in peace. We spent one of the most memorable six months of our lives together at Regina in 1971 at Depot Division. I will miss you. Deb, would you please check Jake's wallet and inside you may find one half of a one dollar bill. We split the dollar bill when we left Depot and commented numerous times how we would use it to buy a cold one when we got together. Sadly to say "you can never save up a good time"! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Condolence: Debbie, Krista, Nick, Tom, Kathy, Carol, Alan and Families:

I want to express my deepest sympathy on the sudden passing of your husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. I was saddened to learn of Jake's sudden death at too young an age. I am a cousin from PEI who met Jake less than other family members who lived here but I did meet him a number of times when he was visiting his parents on PEi. I do recall though on various visits with Jake's parents when I took my grandmother Anne Jane "Dilly" to visit her niece Beatrice (Bea) "Little Dilly" (they were alike!) that I heard lots about Jake and knew that she was justifiably very proud of him and his family and in what he accomplished. I hope at this sad time, you are comforted by many happy memories. I know it is hard to lose someone so quickly as my mother (Bea's first cousin Anne) died suddenly aged 64. My hope for all of you is that in the grief that you are sharing that you will also be consoled in time with the gift you were given in Jake and his life. Take care, your cousin Leo

Condolence: Jake was a fellow spud islander who I played hockey and worked with on TDS. He had no quit, no reverse and a great guy to have at your back. He has left far too soon and will be fondly missed by many. My sincere condolences to the family.

Condolence: Jake was my good friend from 27 Troop in Regina 1971 a couple of displaced youngsters determined to make it. What a great source of strength and maturity he was. Even though some 45 years separated us the kinship wanes not. Prayers for comfort.
