Caring for your employees

Laura used to pick me up in the mornings with a Timmies, her excuse as that 10 min walk. I would catch a cold. One snowy blowy morn, she sent me a text an hr early saying she was blocked in. I texted back saying relax, enjoy another coffee, I will leave soon be there in 2 feet and a heart beat to open the store. So as I am walking through the snow and wind a van skids to a stop in front of me. I mean in front of my nose. We proceeded to yell at each other in the back parking lot of the OC. I am yelling "are you crazy lady" and she is yelling " get in the van before you catch cold" and right back at her I pointed out she tried to run me down. Yes we grumbled back and forth all day, and then she went and made her VooDoo Soup that night. That soup fixes all, might I add. I have 4 now 3 very close friends in my world. Laura was a rare person that cared for many and some days at work made you shake your head, but you laughed afterwards. Laura loved many and we all feel that touch. Your laughter and caring will be missed by many my friend. RIP Kim
