SERRA, Rosina
Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Manor Estate on June 8, 2017 at the age of 97. Born March 5, 1920 in Malito, Italy. Beloved wife of the late Ercole Serra (July 3, 1976). Mother of Franca (Orlando, 2008), Maria (Vincenzo), Nella (Nicola), Domenico (Maria) and Vincenzo (Dianne, 2015). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Mariella, Genaro, Frank, Vince, Tina, Ralph, Derek, Rob, Ryan, Roxanne, Derek, Laura and great grandchildren.
Special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Hillsdale Manor for your wonderful care. Thank you to Valerie, Melissa, Alice, Ali and Janet!
Nonna will be remembered for her love of gardening and more than anything, enjoyed showing everyone the size of her tomatoes. On a hot summer day you’d always find her in the backyard and no visitor would ever leave empty handed.
Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa) with visitation on Wednesday, June 14 from 10am-12pm, followed by a memorial service at 12pm. A private family interment to take place at Oshawa Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either the ALS Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.
