My family knew the Powell's from Crystal Lake. Ted was a good friend to our family and we shared many memories. Whether it was an encounter at the marina, a meeting on the lake somewhere, a shared boat ride or whooping it up at a Pier dance, there was almost always a smile on his face and time for a good chat. Rest in peace.

Ted was a fantastic friend, we meet when he was 18 at the Crystal Pier Marina. Even though my family and I moved to the other side of the country we stayed in touch. He will be sorely missed by many. My heartfelt condolences to JJ and her family. Fly with the angels my friend.

When I think back to working with Ted, I have only great memories. Ted loved to talk about Jen and Katelynne, and was so proud of his family. Ted was a happy and positive person to work with, and was also very thoughtful. I remember one time when I was having a bad week, and Ted snuck into my office before I arrived and left me a flower. It took me a while to figure out who left it there! Now, I will never forget that memory.

Mr. Edward William Powell (Teddy) was a very good man. A man who cared about his family above all. He was a caring and loving Father, Grandfather and a loyal friend. His favourite band was Chicago and his favourite drink was rye and Diet Coke. He was a great host and a darn good friend to any one who knew him. I Love you and I will dearly miss you Sparky.
