Surrounded by loving family, Jack Wield passed away after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday May 17, 2013 in his 63rd year. Beloved husband to Janette of 41 years. Loving and devoted father to Kirsty (Christopher) and Fiona. He leaves behind, two brothers, Stuart and James (Lynn). Son-in-Law of Janet Simpson.
Jack was a retired Police Officer of the Toronto Police Services after 34 years of service and was also a dedicated member of the Toronto Police Pipe Band for over 35 years.
A special thank you to the staff of C6 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their compassionate care and support.
Friends are invited to celebrate Jack’s life on Thursday May 23, 2013 at St. Mark’s United Church at 201 Centre Street South, Whitby, Ontario L1N 4V7. Visitation from 1-2pm followed by a memorial celebration at 2pm. Reception to follow in the church hall.
