SHOLDRA, Maryanne
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Maryanne Sholdra on March 27, 2016 at the age of 79 years.
Former Oshawa City Councillor, community volunteer and advocate, Maryanne was known for her love of Oshawa and her passion for community service.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Michael Sholdra. Devoted and loving mother of Lynn Ruby(the late Peter) and Jodi Down(Larry). Proud and fun-loving Baba of Natalie, Lara, Pamela and Alexandra. Grandbaba to Mya and Ethan(Natalie).
Maryanne will also be dearly missed by her extended family and many friends on Oshawa City Council, Oshawa Folk Arts Council, RS McLaughlin Cancer Centre Foundation, St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Barvinok and Odessa Pavillion.
Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME for visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11am. Interment at Union Cemetery Oshawa. Donations are gratefully accepted to the Parish of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
