Condolences

Condolence From: Vivian Sled
Condolence: Oh Maryanne! They came by the dozen....lined up out the door.....the choir sang, the funky priest with the ponytail spoke beautiful words of grace and love....and you looked beautiful; peaceful and regal....they painted your nails red and you wore a beautiful red dress...perfect for you.....and the most beautiful glass burgundy rosary was entwined in your hands....seeing you was bittersweet; sad that you are gone but we all had smiles on our faces as we reminisced about you. The video of family photos and your community life were inspiring....and in every one of the pictures, you were smiling. We are smiling back dear friend, and those of us that were your friends will never forget you heart emoticon

Condolence From: Martha Lawrence
Condolence: Marianne was my first contact with my birth family. She answered an awkward vmail from a total stranger with grace, and instantly went into action to introduce me to my birth relatives. She hosted our first 'meet and greet'... a day I will always treasure. For these kind efforts, I will always be grateful.

Heartfelt condolences to Lynn, Jodi and family.

Condolence: I'll always remember Maryanne for her feisty attitude and zest for life! Her can-do approach to making something happen was her gift to the community. We first met as volunteers on the Oshawa DAC committee (Downtown Action Committee). Sisters in arms on many occasions for several years and many good laughs over a glass of wine....tonight I raise a glass to you Maryanne and wish you God speed on your new journey.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy for Marianne's family and those of us who called her friend. Marianne was a great advocate for our city and she will be missed. For many years she helped the Salvation Army in our food drives to make a better life for the less fortunate in our community. 'Well done thou good and faithful servant'

Condolence: I have known Maryanne since the mid 80's as a member of the Board of Governors of the Oshawa General Hospital (Lakeridge Health). Maryanne's contribution to the community she lived in and loved so much did not go unnoticed. She was a true volunteer! Rest in Peace, Maryanne.
